What a wonderful naani - I just see it as a thirst for knowledge:"
flapping book pages
bring a vision of
flying wings across
the waving water" Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest

This is a neat Naani poem perfectly reflecting your chosen, wonderfully surreal, image. Totally complementary .
Just a thought:- you have not used all your syllable allowance, and your last line seems a bit of a cliffhanger....... You could add some sort of conclusion.
Good luck in the contest

Thanks for your input. I will consider your thought.

I enjoyed the fresh imagery of how turning book pages evoked a concept of escape, thoughts taking flight, travel, imagination etc. The waving water is either beckoning a welcome, or waving goodbye.
That illustration is gorgeous.

I love the picture and the words that you have used to describe it. As an avid reader this resonates with me. As we turn the pages of a book, we can travel to so many wonderful places.
