This is a good story with actually, an up-beat feel to it. There will always be doomsday theories and theories. At the age of 64, I have lived through many end of the world predictions.

Sad but true that the lasting effects of disaster tend to be hatred towards others. I have never quite thought of it as doomsday though, nor have I heard that relation. Great job piecing those together so nicely!

A lot of interesting thoughts here about doomsday. Your mention of Hungarian music tickled me as I grew up with Eastern European music, which all seems to be written in a minor key. So fitting. There are a few typos you might want to fix. Read back over it carefully for punctuation.

Hi mystery writer
Well this is certainly a gloomy doomsday scenario you have written here.
Not really my cup of tea, (I'm British, LOL) but others make love it too bits.
I wish you well in the competition.
Take care and stay safe, Pete

A nice lighthearted approach to this contest challenge. In these strange times, if we didn't laugh, we'd have to cry. I hope 'they' don't cancel comedy in 2021. That would be a doomsday indeed.
