What beautiful poem: "murder of crows perched on a withered branch
break silence now and then " . Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

This haikuish tercet, A Murder of Crows, has the proper formatting and captures a moment when the obvious situation breaks its silence.

A very well-written haikuish tercet about the murder of crows sitting in a tree breaking the silence now and then with a big noice and the drunk passerby calls them a buzz kill.

Another fine poem, Gypsy, and Alfred Hitchcock would have been proud of the sight and sound that greeted my eyes and assaulted my ears one day a few years ago when I went for my daily walk around the cul-de-sac; hundred of crows all squawking at the same time. It was unnerving--Merry Christmas

Do you know why they calle them a murder of crows? These crows give out justice as the investigate a crime and then murder is the sentence! They will kill any threat to their existence. You brought the scene to life here with your clever words, much enjoyed and Merry Christmas to you, love Dolly x

Thank you very much, Dolly, I didn't know that about crows. I heard a group of ravens is a conspiracy. Merry Christmas to you too.

Brilliant juxtaposition of nature imagery with the unexpected crudeness of a drunk guy. Startling use of murder re crows--I learned that from a prior poem, probably yours. Stunning piece.

Lol. So much "killing" in this Haikuish Tercet (love your new form!) Dean loved that phrase "murder of crows." And I like that you have "murder" in the first line, the killing of silence in the second line and "buzzkill" in the last. Best wishes in the contest!
