Amazing, you not only did an acrostic on 'Match', you also did a very cute limerick. And as to the dating site, never heard of it but isn't that just like men?lol

Thanks, Barb. Any suggestions for improvement?

Cute limerick acrostic!! (I won't comment on the meter as some are real sticklers for anapestic or amphibrachic meter) You showed the definite problems with dating in general these days. So glad you found the right guy. I know one lady who met her husband via a Craig's Lit ad!
Best wishes in the contest!

Craigslist? Wow! Love finds a way, huh? Thanks for the review, lyenochka. I will have to look up "anapestic" and "amphibrachic" meter later!

anapest = da da DUM
Amphibrach = da DUM da

Yup, I've looked it up. I've been playing around with it. It's tough, huh?! LOL! But that's why it's a contest!

For those types of meters, it's best to have the 9 9 6 6 9 syllables. Before she went to Heaven, Phyllis wrote us a great tutorial on limericks:

Well, there is nothing wrong with calling a spade a spade! I would wager that a good percentage of the connections are made with future plans that don't spell longevity. That is the way it is. You wrote an honest poem.

I looked it up an apparently Tinder is used for sexual encounters, whereas Match is more for long-term relationships. LOL! From what I hear from my friends, that is true. Thanks for the review.

I think at 79 I have reached drinking up time in the Last Chance Saloon so I will take a rain check on on-line, or any other kind of dating. But I wish you all the very best.

Only that the metreofthe first two lines is a little off. The rest is fine.

Thanks! lyenochka mentioned that too. I'll work on it.

So this is satire sense in truth it worked for you. You got your cute guy from online dating. This is a well written acrostic, and I many people will relate, because they also have at least tried it once.
Good entry.

Thanks, lancellot. It was fun writing it. It also inspired me to turn into into a short screenplay.

A clever acrostic that is also a limerick.
The whole concept of on-line dating is foreign tome, but it's interesting to know it worked for you. Hopefully Molly will find the right kind of guy.
You might want to rephrase line 3: HER dreams were all shot.

Well, honestly, I wasn't looking for a date. I was looking for sailing crew. He answered my ad anyway, even though he'd only been sailing ONCE in his life, and technically they were motoring in a sailboat. LOL! Thanks for the suggestion! I like it! If I could I'd nominate you for reviewer, but I already nominated six people this week.
