I'm so sorry to see you leave FS, John. I've really enjoyed getting to know you. Thank you for entertaining us over the years.
I know you have a super busy life and that makes it hard to be in a creative zone. Perhaps one day you'll dust off the pen and keyboard again. I hope so.
Thanks also for following my stories. You always were a positive reviewer and your enthusiasm for a story showed.
I wish you a happy and productive future. We'll all be here if you decide to come back.

Your announcement to leave FS saddened me though I have not read or reviewed many of your posts. The reason is we all feel connected here and when someone leaves, the feeling of getting separated crops up. I am here for just two years but signs of fatigue are showing up. Hope you would reconsider your decision.

I'm sad about your decision; you're a good writer whose work I have enjoyed reading. I wonder if you might be prepared to modify your decision -- write (and post) only when you have a piece which is bursting to get out. I strongly suspect this will happen -- once a writer, always a writer.
I'm on the verge of a similar decision. Since I joined FS nearly two years ago, I have posted something every week. But I am now beginning to grow tired of the frenetic race to earn enough funny money decently to promote my next piece every week. It's a mad roundabout that turns faster by the minute.

It's always difficult when writers announce they need to leave for whatever reasons assail their availability or writing motivation as you have here. I'm only tangentially aware of your work from your a few reviews, but I hope you eventually find your way back. Best of luck with your future.

The true essence of writing is the passion behind it. The flames of creation. A beautiful paradox. Whether it was a patient, slow burning fire or a fast, short-lived, fiery inferno of great awe and wonder, it is better to have written, then stop, than to never have written at all.

There comes a time when one must apply their skills to writing. This is very well written making for a very good read. There is very good imagery.

JMDG1954,
SO sorry to hear you are leaving, but understand time restraints. Hopefully you fill the hours with something that makes your heart sing. Good luck! Franichm

Hi there,
Always sad to see another go, but sometimes I guess it's the right thing t do when the time is right. If the will isn't there any more and other pursuits / obligations / necessities become more prevalent then so be it.
Wish you all the best for the future.
You know if you want to give some pumps away to people you can promote their work with them, or nominate them as reviewers and give pumps to them that way. Not sure why Tom said no but it can be done this way.
Anyway, all the best

I'm so sorry you feel like you need to leave FS, John. I've enjoyed being your fan and friend since you first joined, and I'll miss you very much. Maybe after a break, you'll get that yearning to write your kid stories or baseball tales? I'll miss your writing, but I'll also miss you. Thank you for sharing your stories and being such an encouraging and kind friend. Please keep writing, and I hope to see you here again all loaded with new work to share.
Take care and you know I wish you the best of everything in your life.
Smiles
Karyn :-)
