This was a fun one to read. I read it to myself the first time, then when I saw your notes I re read it aloud and you were right. The extremes you mention were wonderful. All that when a chocolate bar would probably do. LOL. Wonderful description and emotion. Nice job.

This is a beautiful piece. This piece grabbed my attention and my attention is escalated as the piece goes on. The words used are spectacular and bring the photo to life. From beginning to end this is flat out good. Good work.

I gained 10 unneeded pounds just by reading it. I hope your hubby doesn't read and say something like, "I 'll settle for you just getting off FS and doing the dishes." That would be a mood killer, even the delicious one that you have so artfully drawn here. You are a terrific writer ... now pass the chocolate!

And if he did that, I'd pull HIS chocolate privileges PERMANENTLY! GRRRR!

I really enjoyed this, Sharn. I agree...the things we're willing to do. I often wonder why. I find real value in these questions and in your work. You never cease to amaze me with your imagination and talent. To take such a simple thing and make it so wonderful. Your poems are always like movies to me. I learn from them and appreciate them. Be good. I've heard of Tarzania. Heard it's nice.

Hi, Sharyn.

Great fun alliterated 1st line - 'Tarzania' LOL.

Excellent 'v' alliteration to end.

In between, you create many vivid images which is proof an an excellent poet, and conjure them with imaginative metaphors and romance.

I haven't a swet tooth and never even think of chocolate, but if it's put in front of me, I'll eat it. :-)

This HAS to be worth my 'sixer' for all the wonderful poetic devices you master.

Best wishes, Ray

This one is sure to move you up the rankings my dear. I laughed out loud -not a good thing at 4:30 am with guests upstairs- at your luscious sky antics and de-vine chocolate attainment. This was just a fun romp through your clever (and slightly naughty) wordy mind and a joy to read. Hope his gift fits well with yours. - Wendy

"Trinitario cocoa beans from Tanzania create flavourful and wonderful chocolate! I LOVE single origin chocolate. I love it for its aromas and ..."

But cacao beans from Tarzania-- how exotic.

"to lick the sky
into pink and glowing submission
till it begs for laughing mercy
and cedes the finest
powdered, snowy sugar ...
just for you, my sweet:="

Goodness me a valentine double entendre.

"just
for
me"

Hmmmn

He's going to have to come up with good Valetine for you

Paul

What a deliciously delightful poem! I love the Tarzania reference, and Yes, you must swing from vines. :) I also appreciated that the cream came from 'her most contented cows' Very fun and creative ending. ;p

Thanks for sharing this sweet poem. Write on! -Steve
