This scans very elegantly and is very nicely rhythmical for a Haiku. I don't know whom you may be referring to, but it works well on the page. Good luck on the contest.

Very touching and heartwrenching poetry. I believe many people could relate to this. The way you worded it was so skillful and thoughtful. Well done!

An excellent 5-7-5, although a sad one. Were you writing about someone in particular, a public figure?
The image is perfect for your poe, and really emphasizes the second and third lines indicating how great was the loss.
I find this a very original approach to a 5-7-5 and very well done.
Good luck in the competition.

A sad and touching poem, well worthy of five stars. A deep sadness comes through in a few well chosen words. I am sorry for your loss.

This was a sad 5-7-5 poem for the contest, written about the death of someone evidently important, for the poem states that all the world is deeply saddened.

Hi boomachicka,
You had penned a great 5/7/5 poem for the contest. You have chosen good words to express yourself and even though sad it is well written and compelling. Well done and good luck in the contest...blessings, chey

Poet - A nicely penned 5-7-5 poem. The picture was a very nice touch. I wonder if this is someone everyone should know, or if the whole world is just the entire world of the poet. Maybe you would put it in the author's note. Deb :0)

Very meaningful Haiku. This Haiku paints a picture of a great leader apparently known the world over. The loss is acknowledged, mourned by the people world-wide. The poem also clings to the measurement of a Haiku: 5/7/5/. Congratulations. Dom

This is a good little poem, boomachicka...the hyperbolic "all the world" conveys well the overwhelming omnipresent grief felt in the face of death. The poem is succinct and very effective. Good stuff.
Best wishes in the competition.
