I really enjoy reading these. I get so much out of them. A lot of this I covered in college with my writing courses, but it has been so long that your little reminders help me stay grounded in the basics, which tend to be overlooked. Thanks for the very helpful posting.

My problem is that I'm spending so much time on this book and I don't know what I'd be able to add to another that wouldn't duplicate something here. I'll get back to you on it. Nice informative chapter ... Your examples are clearly given and understandable. You are right about the reader wanting to be a part of the story. The novels that I cry and laugh (along with the characters) in, feel are my best reads. Mary
