The rhythem to this was fun and kept my attention to the story tellers rhyming lines. I found this fun, some big words kids may have difficulty with, but all in all fun.

a tad confusing, but given the contest rules, it mandates farce...loved the rhyme scheme and choosing Man as the other animal! Sounds like something I would do, hope you don't mind my saying so...great message on environmentalism too...very original! Good luck in the contest!

Thank you - possibly confusing because my poem started off in one direction and then promptly took itself off in quite another! My writing tends to do that - makes for an interesting journey because you never know where you are going until you get there!

This is an excellent piece, which I enjoyed very much, although it is not easy to view what man has done to this planet and its other occupants with any degree of humour. Good luck in the contest. This piece deserves to do well.

Thanks, Annette. I know I was supposed to be humorous and I felt myself slipping into pretty full on stuff - I did try to bring it back to 'happy endings' - hope that happens in reality too!
