A beautifully written work dear Janet, this is beautiful. Hovering between wistful and anticipation, it's got great language, smooth flow, with abab rhyming and hexametric stanzas, well done dear girl, blessings Roy

You captured October so beautifully, in this work. Autumn is, by far, my favorite time of the year and I suspect, when the next October rolls around I'll be reminded of your lovely poem. Thank you for sharing this reminder of those wonderful, crisp days and nights. Wishing you good health and happy writing.

This poem speaks the glory of the season, remembering autumn and its beauty, rainy, cloudy and shinny; leaves fall from the trees; well said, well done; thanks for sharing this. ALCREATOR

This is a Beautifully written poem about autumn. It is nice to remember other seasons. October's sun has set behind the lofty hills and left a sea of smoky clouds. Both grey and pink. They linger in the autumn sky and give me chills. Nicely done.

A very easy-reading poem about Autumn. Rhyming is great. On this cold, January day, it is nice to remember the warm days we had in Autumn. Thank you for sharing.

What a lovely romanticization of a season that is usually only envisioned through the colorful leaves at its beginning... well done, Janet!! ;) You make even someone not fond of the colder months smile with your rhythmic offering, my lady! ;) Yvette

Thank you for your most encouraging review. I?m not excited about the cold either (we now live in the south - :)))) but I love the colors of fall.
So glad you enjoyed it.
