Hello,
Unique imagery.
This is an interesting story about the strange garment we wear in life. We should not be judged by our outside appearance, but by the heart, we have on the inside. All the crystal clear memories are there if they were happy ones. Usually, unhappy memories are the ones we try to forget over time. We all have taken earthly paths that others will never understand why or care we did. We should not judge. Nor would other understand why decisions were made or had to be made. Maybe if you were a twin could you understand those decisions? We can only be thankful for the gifts God gives us in our lifetime, then we go home (prayerfully to Heaven). We wear a strange garment. I'm not sure if I summarized your beautiful poem accurately, but it's a good story of one's earthly life waiting to go with the Angel to Heaven. We don't want to keep God waiting! Thanks, and Happy writingð???

To acknowledge that our lives are ever fragile and we walk on the brink of a cloud is to be real. With your words ringing loudly and meaningfully in my mind, I commend you and laud your graceful poem that I have enjoyed reading.

It seems the angel doesn't want to be judged or an old person ready to die. It seems either could be the subject because true love is eteranl.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

What a beautiful poem! I found myself nodding my head as I read. :)
favorite oline--nor would you understand paths I've taken; yet, have never told.
I'm not sure about your rhyme scheme. In stanza one, it seems to be aabb. However in the other two stanzas all lines rhyne. Just thought I"d point it out. :)
I absolutely love the poem and the last line is spot on.
Blessings and be healthy,
Deb

A very beautiful Garment (the poem). The words rolled very well in tune to my thoughts. "Walk the pathway to my heart...your name chiseled there" I think shows there is some effort in love. Best of Luck with your entry.

A very well-written heartfelt poem about the strange garment that awaits us when we leave this earth is quite different from what we can imagine, and we get a glimpse when a loved one leaves before us.

I apologize, for no six is mine, dear poet. Are used to think that the best of my life was over, but it's not. I feel like I am enjoying life more than ever even though my bones crackle and pop. I have an angel beside me at all times.

Beautifully pen, formatted, and illustrated.
Sending you my best today as always, and my very best for the contest.

Lovely verse with fresh phrasing throughout. I like the opener re the silver hair and garment. Do you realize you gave us a bonus in the last verse--all four lines rhyme! Whimsical touch in last line re our old bones...Cheers. LIZ

The artwork is truly amazing and compliments your poetry so well. This reminds me of something I read: We are not bodies with souls; we are souls with bodies. Believing that and what you conveyed in your poem really makes us more at ease on this stage we are merely acting on.
