Hi
Lovely little poem.
First line..mothers dream too of slender bodies....
I think you meant...
Mothers dream to have slender bodies.
That's the only little issue I found apart from that...marvelous job.
Great job
Regards
Tia

That's a great picture to go with your poem! And I can completely understand as we moms try to make sure our kids eat well and in the process, our slower older metabolisms help pack on the pounds. Great little poem of reassurance about mothering.

Welcome back!

This piece effectively describes the dilemma of young
mothers. Add to this list the mother's lack of time to
prepare one meal for kids, another for herself!

I get that, Susan. My wife just went on another one and i don't even tink she needs to lose weight. she is on that all protein thing where she can have zip carbs. None, Nada. She cannot have anything white, ie, rice, potatoes, bread and so on.
Good little poem here, my friend. Happy Holidays. Bob

I don't think a good cook can stay slim while keeping a family happily fed. This terse free verse delivers its message smoothly. It looks excellent to me.
