Excellent rictameter. I agree, we have cut down paradise and made us a parking lot and destroyed the homes of countless creatures all in the name of progress.

Well done.
Blessings

HI Janet, if you thought my poem was excellent sweet girl...can you tell me why you gave it four stars...thank you...and Blessings to you as well...love you...Linda xxoo

So sorry - my fingers often don't do as I ask. I updated my response as I did not mean to post a four. I think I was out of sixes and when I hit the four I though it was a five. Again, I apologize. I really did enjoy the poem.

    Blessings

Sad reality of our days. This poem is a call to awaken from denials and admit that human greed has gone far. The poem and art work - stark reminders-- with compassion.

Nice form and vivid imagery here. You give food for thought, for there is much that lies in the background for us to think about.

Well done my dear friend.
My best wishes.

This work has reached the exceptional level

Yes it's a very effective portrayal of what is happening in our world to some of our wild life - first person narrative serves to accent the reality of animals deprived of food and habitat

"Starving", is an extremely well-written and heart-wrenching piece. This talented poet's work a pleasure to both read and review. I look forward to seeing your next post. To me, this is a six, but I only have fives left.

I'm sorry I don't have a six left, this is such a well written, sad emotive subject. It is criminal what they are doing. People should remember, the animals were here before we were. They have more right to the forest and land than we do. We have taken and taken until now we are not only wiping our these amazing creatures on land and sea, and destroying our planet too. Everything on Earth was put here for a reason, we should look after it all. Well done, my friend, this is a powerful, wonderful poem. Love you, my friend, and sending you a big hug. xxxxx :)) Sandra xxx

I totally agree. We've taken away their habitat and then punish them for living in it. There has to be a better way. I know some cities have hunting season for animals wandering in. So cruel. Very good presentation and wording.

This, unfortunately for the wildlife, is common here in Australia. We are losing the nation's symbol - Koala bears being raised by hand. Eucalyptus trees cut down for housing. These trees are the only food that the Koala eats! Man comes first it would seem. The polar bears come into town and rat the garbage in towns in Arctic towns. Even the sea animals are cursed with man's garbage in the seas. What to do? Thanks for sharing your thoughts. XXK.

Hi Sweet Pie, we are getting some heavy rain....and strong winds...but it is on the side of my daughter...I think she will feel it a bit more...it is going more up the center....water...and then hitting the panhandle...they are going to get hit hard...I feel bad for them...this is one of the worst hurricanes they have had...we can only pray...and hope that people were smart enough to get out...love ...xxoo

You express your concern for nature well
in this poem - true to the form.
It is sad that animals are losing their homes to
"progress" and then being killed when they hunt
for food near civilization.
