This is a great poem as I understand it. Editing should not be included in the writing process. That's what I'm taking from this. Being concerned about "errors" when you're cranking the work out does tend to stunt the process.
Well done.

Thank you.

A very interesting use of metaphor. I'm not sure corrections made to a piece of writing would necessarily be a rotting infection, which is what syphilis is. But being misled might end up harmful to the writer.
Actually, this is a clever use of words. Different in style, but you have a unique and unusual talent, Bic.

Thanks AV i'll say this, anything that intentionally destroys a piece of work is considered a disease and unless the individual addresses there own disease we will all be infected...
...in that sense syphilis the writing disease is a dangerous plague that needs the fire of London to wipe it out...
...glad you can appreciate and have much fun with the poets...

The title of this poem is not any word that I could find. I think you meant sphenography. That refers to writing. The poem is quite good but the title is not a word, that is spelled the way you spelled it... john

John I have a dictionary with the word written in BLACK SOLID INK would you like to insist that this word does not exist. As to the other references to syphilis they also are written in guess what BLACK SOLID INK.
-
What dictionary did you find this in? It's not in Websters, or on dictionary.com
-
Try a chambers twentieth century dictionary...remember just because modern dictionaries dont hold the word does not make it defunct.
-
Also... Why do you find it necessary to be nasty with your comment. Can you not just tell me where I can find the word without be nasty with you comment...
-
I'm not being nasty...I'm just annoyed that you assumed I made the word up, thats all...I've told you where I got the word its the dictinary that I have beside me...its been on my bookshelf for years.
-
Yes you were being nasty. I have never even heard of the Chambers dictionary before today. So how could S find the word if I don't have the reference book to find it. By the way sir... You're response to me was really uncalled for. You could have just explained to me what reference guide you found it in. I am not in a library and I only have certain books to reference from, but I will look to add this book to my collection. Thank you for letting me know about it...

I am not really sure what the author notes are completely about. I enjoyed reading the poetry about a writing disease. It is a very pretty piece, even being ummm about Syphilis! Good job!

Very interesting art work and words written.
Interesting that syphilis can be a writing disease.
Having syphilis through sexual intercourse would be horrible.
Interesting words.

Its kinda of a strange disease as it is basically a rot as far as i can see so I dont see why some writing can be affected with this metaphor. Disease comes in many shapes and forms you could applythe same to virtually anything thhat was deemed dangerous or violated purity.

I read this one several times. I know Syphilography was rampant in England a long time ago and is now called syphilis. I get the impression someone's has upset you, and you are comparing their reviewing styles to syphilis, which is insidiousness. "Syphilis writing disease,
carried through
recently infected vessels...."
I hope I got that one right, because this is a very cerebral piece of writing and has wonderful pacing and cadence!

Well it's tree and it has been around for a long time. Elizabethan England was rampant with it and they all wrote about it. Looks weird to see it this way but anything to make people aware.

Can I ask what makes it look weird... Please ...G...
-
I meant it was strange to see it in writing.
-
Well ...G... your an educated person you should know there are medical journals written about the stuff...
-
Many many many of them Bic.
-
It must be rampant...to have so many journals. I never suffered with it though some itching has occured before but only once and it soon went away...
-
That's good isn't it Bic.
-
What the itching...or that it went away !!!
-
Both!!!
-
well i suppose in a strange way that would be true...?
