Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

A perfect triolet. Excellent execution of iambic pentameter and the difficult repetition and rhyme scheme. (I do wonder why holy is capitalized, but that is an extremely minor concern.) Excellent juxtaposition of picture and poem. One of the best works I have seen from your pen. This would be great for Christian children in Sunday School to memorize this time of year.

I never know when to capitalize or not capitalize words that go with the whole God thing - if I didn't capitalize it I'd have five people telling me I should. I honestly don't care one way or the other. LOL Thank you so much, Alvin, for this generous and gracious review. This was the only art I could find on Fan Art that depicts Christmas caroling, so I'm glad you like it! Brooke :-)

I think either pure and holy should both be capitalized or neither should be capitalized. It's such a minor issue.

Another glorious poem by Brooke celebrating the upcoming Christmas season. Next to the first day of spring, this is my favorite time of the year!
Smiles from the frozen north... xox
STILL NO SNOW!

Wondrous words of love. I especially liked the artwork; English Christmas scene? I loved your poem. Carol must be a great lady, she is so busy at Christmas. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Kay. It is art from Fan Art, but I'm sure that is what it is meant to look like. It's the only picture I could find of carolers. Brooke :-) That was a groaner of a joke!!!

Very nice! It's funny how you can sing the same old carols year after year, and then one suddenly tunes into your heart and delivers a fresh insight into your brain that makes the words come alive and does send the words "Heavenwards." Then the carol is forever new and meaningful to you after that. An excellent triolet.

Brooke, you indeed must already be in the Christmas spirit. The picture and the poem go well together and I can see maybe a Christmas card with this. Use it. = )

I tip my hat to you... I know I keep saying it but you do such a fantastic job with the triolet. I know my reviews all sound the same when I read your stuff but I have nothing to add that could possibly improve the poems you have been writing. Lovely Brooke, just lovely!

Indeed, we should all be mindful of the author of our peace here on earth. Wonderful job on this triolet. I loved the repeating line, it was very well written, and the rhymes were natural. I loved the artwork too. All in all, a wonderful poem for the season. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent.

Hugs,
Diane
