A sweet poem accompanied by a well-matched sweet graphic. I love that the poem is centered, but I would make it larger, so it is not overshadowed by the large graphic. Perhaps a 14 or 16 font size. Consider also making it a coordinated color picking up one of the colors in the graphic. Baby things, nurseries...etc are typically bright and colorful. The mood of this piece is bright and uplifting. Why not let the font match that mood? Good luck in the contest.

I think I get it. My newest granddaughter is due the 28th. We are on pins and needles, jumping at every cramp or ache. Haha. Like there's never been another baby here!!!

I love the picture you paired with your sweet words, LL.
Your words are well thought out. I wonder if the hyphenated
word counts as 1 word--not sure. If it does, great. If not,
then I would delete the word awaited. But that's confusing.
Anyway, maybe I'm mistaken.

I wish I could give you a six, Linda, what great news. I had my first great-granddaughter in March. It's such a thrill, you'll be in your element! Read your bio, very similar to mine except I love writing fiction based on my life experiences, my stories are about half-and-half.
Can feel your anticipation, we just had the blessing of a grandson, and have many granddaughters.
Grandson is now 4 months, eats like a horse, we got to see a video of him laughing for the first time Wow!
Enjoyed your outlook on life, and I am also losing my hair, but hey-older guys are supposed to, no?

An excellent six-word poem for this contest, good luck. The picture is good also which helps illustrate your poem. When I turned fifty my mother used almost the same words to describe the birth of his first son. Me. Good work! Terry.
