Awe, this is beautiful, Sandra, and so interesting. I didn't know the lemur comes from Madagascar. Would you know, since I was a small kid I've always wanted to go there. I've since travelled the world, being to the most obscure places, but never Madagascar. Fancy that.
Now, this is such interesting and wonderful info about the lemur.I'm learning all the time. What a shame it would be if the beautiful ring tailed lemur was to die out. I hope it will never happen. You are doing a great job. A hug. Ulla xxx

Oh, you'll have to add Madagascar to your bucket list, before the lemurs disappear! Thank you so much for the six stars, Ulla, and your lovely review. I'm so pleased you are still enjoying my amazing animals. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Hi Sandra, another fine piece of work. You certainly put the time in to your work. You fooled me - when I opened up my PC I guessed lion, lizard, leopard - LOL! 'The indri lemurs don't have much of a tail,' Indri Lemurs - Indri a city - caps! Well done - take care and stay safe, love Dorothy xxx

Thank you, Dorothy, I'm glad you enjoyed this one. The word 'indri', used in this is not a city, it's one of the Madagascar words, meaning, 'there it is!' The visitor who saw it, thought that was the native name of the animal because he didn't understand them. There true name is, Babakoto, or Ambalana. But we are stuck with the name, 'there it is! lol. Thanks, my friend. Lots of love, Sandra xx

I have always been interested in lemurs since my youngest child used to watch the Kraft Brothers. I don't know if you're familiar with that show or not. Anyway, there as a lemur on it. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you so much for the six stars, Barbara, and another lovely review. I don't know the Kraft Brothers, but now my interest is up, I'll Google it and see what it's like. Thanks, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Well, they are cute, right, Sandra? I enjoyed reading this presentation and learned many new facts. Thank you for your meticulous research. Your husband's art is perfect--kids will instantly agree. You did a great job describing the different members of this species. I'm amazed there are more lemurs in zoos than the wild of that particular kind. Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Suggestions or File 13

The Indri Lemur will only have one mate for life, and only have children once every two or three years. They are amazing jumpers, [ delete extra space before the word able ] able to take long leaps of up to 10 meters when moving among tree branches. They are also rather good at leaping sideways. The indri [ does indri need to always be capitalized? in some places it is others not ] lemurs don't have much of a tail, but do have large hands.

The indri [capital I on indri??? ] lemurs are able to sing, it's both frightful and beautiful to listen to. Their songs can be heard by humans over a mile away.

They are amazing jumpers, [ delete extra space--may be a repeat of my notes--if so ignore if you've done this ] able to take long leaps of

This is a lot stiffer and is used to help keep their bottom 'comb ['comb---> you have an apostrophe before the word ;comb . . . but no ending one ] teeth clean and hair free when they groom

Ha, ha, ha isthis a monkey or a cat? "And did you know Lemurs can sing?
and when they're stroked they purr?
They eat bananas, figs and leaves,
then sit and brush their fur."
Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

Thanks Iza. Neither monkey or cat. They are primates like us, how weird is that? Have a lovely day, my friend. :) Sandra xx

First this is the first of your work that I've read and I think it's lovely that you're using your talent to help your grandson Eric learn not just the alphabet, but so many valuable lessons. The photos are exquisite and help to bring the story to life. A really beautiful presentation.

And I thought Australia had all the weird animals in the world. Wait! Madagascar could very well be in Australia though I doubt it. LOL I know very little about Geography. Never was interested. Animals are very interesting though, Sandra Dear. Well done! Nancy:)

No, Madagascar is in Africa, and that is the only place they live apart from the zoos. They have some very weird habits, lol. Thanks for reading, Nancy. Have a nice day. :)) Sandra xxx

I see the lemur has come to represent the letter L. Within the great cartoon, clever poem, nest photographs, and lemur-facts, you have made a delightful place for kids to learn about this amazing creature.

Who'd have thought there were so many different varieties. I wonder if, like humans, one variety is prejudiced against another. Probably not as animals are usually too clever for that sort of thing

I know, there are loads, and some really weird ones, too. I didn't read anywhere that they didn't get on with the other species of their kind, but who knows? Thank Jim, for reading this one and the nice comments. :)) Sandra xxx

These facts are fascinating! I never knew all this about these beautiful animals in God's kingdom.
This book will be a blessing not only to children, but to the adults as well who read to the children.
The visuals in the pictures and in your writing brings these lovely animals to life. Great job
