You are indeed one of the most talented poets on FS, and it is always a pleasure to read your work. The moth is beautiful and it would indeed try its best to get close to the flame.
and let this dreamer flutter in
to touch reality,
the flame that burns, reducing all
to grey eternity,
You saved it from a fiery death. Well done Tony. Nancy

A very well-written poem about the moth. They usually likes to come where there are light and often burn themselves to death in the candle's flame.

That's lovely, Tony. The moth is quite so unappreciated, unlike it's fellow butterfly, yet they are still lovely in their own way. Except when they chew on my clothes. Well written poem, my friend and a pleasure to read. :) Sandra xx

Excellent. I found this to be delightful to read. I love simple rhyming poetry over all the new complicated styles one sees in todays writing. Nicely done.

A clear, colourful description of a moth in exaltation in a tune of ballad has a free flow of thoughts, beautiful and sensational word visual imagery, good diction, I enjoyed the poetic feeling in perspectives.

Oh wow so nicely done. I am so glad you kept the window closed because they do fly straight to the flame, kinda like us in real life, we go where we should not.lol

Not going to go out of my way to comment on rhyme and metre, Tony. You are the ultimate expert and your technique is flawless.
What I love most is your ability to take a quite mundane, almost dreary subject and turn it into an enchantment and delight.
Lovely!

Dear Tony, this is glorious read aloud. I especially loved your last stanza. For me it seemed to capture that moment of pause as one reflects on what has been seen and how it will affect you. Lovely work my friend, strong images and good word choices that give this a sense of awe.
Thanks for sharing.
