Well done with this open honest and well written love poem, the narrative is quite smooth, the abab rhyming is also well done, the progress from the old to the new is good, doesn't seem to be a seam in there anywhere, I'm sure it will delightedly received by the object of your affections, well done, my friend, blessings, Roy

I enjoyed reading your poem and believe you have a good chance at a contest if you so choose to enter one. You could work on the flow a bit but that is all that needs a touch. It seems to have good rhyme and the thought blends well to the end. Good job.
