Will Mr. Watson be conscious the entire time he is supposed to be in suspended animation, I wonder? Now wouldn't that make for a horrific next 100 years, or however long they leave him there? It might just drive him mad. Oh, Dean, this has such possibilities. Hehehe.

Dean: Mr Watson is awake and watching the scientists. A chilling story for sure. He must have a strong heart to be so cooolllddd. What a long life. Not sure that I would want to freeze to live longer. Very interesting, Mr. Watson! Clever story as always. Glad that you have a lady scientist. flylikeaneagle

Comment from Gloria ....
Ha, a little sadism is always a creepy addition to tales of terror. How amazingly boring would that be going madder than a hatter trapped inside one's own mind inside a cryogenics chamber. It's enough to turn a person right off that alternative to immortality.
Smartly written, Dean. Will the terror never end? Hopefully not anytime soon.

It would be horrible I imagine, Gloria. Let's hope we never get the opportunity to find out.

Trying to ease back in after absence. Good to see you haven't lost that touch, Dean. The funny thing about it is; there are some that have already undergone the process of freezing themselves in order to wake up in the future. I wonder what sort of nightmare awaits if only certain vital organs and senses awake...if any at all.
Good write.
Best wishes,
RG

Hi, Dean...
Observing spikes in Mr. Watson. That can't be comfortable if he'd still alive.
Reminds me of 'The Pit And The Pendulum' movie where the guy scrapes on the coffin lid as they're getting ready to bury him. Eeeewwww!
Where is Sherlock Holmes when Mr. Watson needs him??
Another great chapter in your book, my friend.
Cheers & Blessings
Keep Smilin'.... Jax (*;*)

What's to say except excellent. There is a short, literate, chilling (ouch) horror story. Read one of the book items by another author yesterday, looks like a good
project.
I don't think I do horror well. Wolf whistle?? (My latest post)

Thanks, Red, and you're more than welcome to jump into the fray anytime you like, my friend. I think it would be very interesting to see what you'd come up with in 500 words or less.
Much obliged for the review and kind comments, buddy...~Dean

Hi Dean. Such a creepy story in so few words. It reminds me of my mother. She told me stories of the past about a man who knocked on the coffin when he was burried. .. Must have been quite a shock.... Very well written. Great job!! Fia

Yeah, well...if I heard someone bangin on a coffin, that would pretty much do it for me, Fia. I'd just have a massive coronary right then and there.
Thanks a bunch for reading and reviewing this story. I really appreciate it. ~Dean

That's a horrible thought. Like being aware of the knife cuts etc while they operate on you. You do think up some dillies. Got any about Satin tormenting a poor soul to destruction? Good job Dean. Nancy

Nope, but I have one on the back burner about Satan going to heaven for the great White Throne judgement. Needless to say, the big red guy doesn't think too much of heaven's glory in the story.
Thanks for taking a look at the story and offering up a review, Nancy.
Much obliged, partner...~Dean

Once again you have a wonderful post. I am sure a few people will have a fun time writing for this multi-author book. You keep me clutching my mouse.
