adewpearl,
Nice theme. Smooth flow. Understandable and thought provoking but especially insightful comments.
The only error I saw was in your title.
Legend of the Robin's (Red Breast)
**Redbreast
Everything else looks terrific!
I look forward to seeing you again.
Love you,
Oatmeal

What a neat legend, Brooke. This is a new one for me too but isn't it lovely. Robins are one of my favorite birds, I just learned this year that during mating season they sing all night and spent several happy midnights listening to their sweet songs.
Your "quatern plus" makes for a terrific poetic expression of the legend...smoothly flowing, rhymed and rhythmic and smart... a good poem.

Brooke,
I loved your well written poem "Legend of the Robin's Red Breast. I never heard of the legend but I thought your descriptive scheme was great. I liked the art work and color scheme. The rhymes flowed throughout the poem. I like the line:
Though growing flames had burnt his breast,
this robin never once complained.
He felt her need and passed the test,
when Mary saw the embers wane.
Your author's notes were informative. I giving your enjoyable poem five stars.
Melissa.

adewpearl,
Well, I don't think that I will ever view a robin again without thinking of this tale that you have told so well in your poem, "Legend of the Robin's Red Breast'
I have never heard of that legend. Your poem tells it with great style, rhymes and form.
You have found a wonderful picture of the robin to accompany your poem as well. I enjoyed reading it.

I had never heard the legend before. Once again you educated me and I appreciate it. Growing up in IL, I couldn't wait to see the first robin after a hard winter. I knew spring was just around the corner.

This is a delightful legend of how the robin got it's red breast. It is a sweet bit of fantasy that children would just love to hear. Thanks for researching it and sharing it with us Brooke.

I really liked your poem because it had Jesus and Mary in it. When the flames went out, I thought that was really thoughtful for the bird to come and heat them back up. flyboy130

This was an excellent telling of a little-known legend. The repeating line was seamless, the poem flowed beautifully, and the imagery was very well done. I'm glad you feel comfortable bending the rules of the form a bit when the need arises. Thank you for sharing this wonderful tale.
Hugs,
Diane
