Such a tender haiku for the contest. How fortunate to have that family around and how blessed. The syllable count and form- -perfect. This should be good contender for the contest.

My only suggestion is you not use capital letters- -otherwise all is well.

    Thank you for reminding me of all those rules that come with poetry...You are so much better at this than me. I appreciate your help and I quickly corrected it.

It follows all the contest requirements and still maintains the haiku format. I liked the subject ad thought it was a perfect entry. Good luck in the voting booth.

This haiku paints a beautiful picture. To be surrounded by a family that love and supports you make if the darkest of times brighter. It is sad so many people have to go it alone.

Great haiku, about the most important thing in life, at least what should be. Yes, when we are surrounded by family, I do believe life is complete. SO, why do we continue to fret about material things?

    Thank you so much for your kind words. I honestly don't believe I could have made it through some of my darkest hours if it had not been for family and their love. One of my favorite songs I played when my son died was "Surround Me With Love" It carried me through. Thanks for your kind words, Your friend, Carol

the syllable count in the word family, i suupose can be either three or two, i had better check the dictionary to be sure
