What a beautiful tribute to Jay -- one of my favorite writers and favorite 'just people'. I've ordered a number of his books and we have exchanged Christmas Cards. I think your description is right on and I know Jay will love it!. With his skill, he is probably raking in the funds from his Medium account. As always, Terry, you add just the right amount of humor to make the story expand to include the total person. Excellent post. ann

Jay was a good egg! I had not realized that he was so old.
I think he had a run-in with scammers. It is so good to hear that he is doing so much better.

When Jay Squires left the building it was like the day Elvis left the building. I'm glad he's using his talent elsewhere and making money doing it. Please tell him hey from me and that he's missed.
One of the days I hope to make money. It hasn't happened yet. I gave away 75 books this week at my book signing. Someone asked me if I made money off my writing yet. I fell off my chair laughing. I love what I do and that's payment enough. I hang out with with the FS Poet Laureate of Birthdays, and my favorite writer of fantasy fiction from your beautiful state, and keep a close circle of friends here. I'm wealthy in that regard.
As long as you're happy, then go for it, my friend. Thanks for sharing.

It pleases me that Jay has found a site that works for him, I am saddened by the thought that he has left the building. I am encouraged by the positive things you mentioned about Medium, I would like more info about this site, like how do you find them and how do you join? I am ready to make a couple bucks.

Nomi, thank you for the six stars! Medium.com will get you there. It is complicated for newbies, at least it was for me. One has to read the articles about how to be published on the site. It can be kind of a pain. But Jay figured it out. Good luck. Terry.
