As Jesus saw what His Father was doing and did the same, though He was equal with God He still was obedient to His mission, as we are co heirs with Jesus, He is still our Lord, and we follow our good shepherd. Beautifully written Debi, what a good present for us all, beautifully written, blessings Roy
Suggestion :The human race has lost control.

Hi Roy, thank you for the lovely review and wonderful comments.
And thanks for the awesome suggestion. Actually that is how it started originally, but then I needed it to tie in with the next line, and the word ?the? doesn?t do it. I worked and edited on this everyday for a week, until I knew it was right for me. I wanted the beginning to show how God must have felt in the beginning of time. That is why it had to start like this:
With human race out of control
God found a way to save each soul
Do you see the difference in how it sounds. It shows about why God must have felt the need to send us a savior?
Merry Christmas to you and Elaine and your lovely daughters and their families. Thanks again for the glowing review!

I was thinking of the grammar Debi, to leave out THE is sacrificing the syntax for the meter, for me that never worked, they drop definite articles like the and indefinite articles like A and An in Eastern Europe, Jesus died fo the human race anyway, that could be one or a billion, I don?t see that it matters. It grates when I see it dear girl, but merry Christmas dear to you and yours. Blessings Roy

A well written piece about the importance of why Jesus came to Earth and to remind us that he is always there for us when we need him. I really enjoyed reading your piece and I hope you have a great Christmas.

Very nice, Debi. This reminds me of a poem that I wrote. I've just been looking for it for the past half hour. I can't find it. It's driving me crazy. I'll try to dig it up and send it to you. Found it!!
The Stranger
He just showed up the other day;
No one could tell from whence he came.
What purpose for this drifting stray?
A stranger, wandâ??ring, with no name.
He dressed in clothes that fit him well â??
Not fancy, but in style and clean.
His face was sad, and I could tell
He was upset by what heâ??d seen.
I spoke to him as one concerned
About the look upon his face.
He answered, and â??twas then I learned
Of his fear for the human race.
He said heâ??d been here once before
And left before his work was done.
Heâ??d now returned to try once more
To finish what he had begun.
Heâ??d combed the land, both far and wide
In search of those whoâ??d seen the light.
It pained him that so few had tried
To separate the wrong from right.
I then began to understand
Just who I had been talking to.
I saw the wound upon His hand
Where nail had once been driven through.
I kissed that hand that once had bled
And fell upon my bended knee.
He put His hand upon my head
And said, â??Rise up and follow Me.â??

I really liked that version of the Hallelujah song!
Thanks for giving this poem full of the personal vignettes of people at the end of their rope and finding Jesus. That's why He came - to save us.
Great job with this and loved the music, too!

That is a really beautiful poem, and an excellent choice of image to accompany it. You began with the real meaning for His coming to earth, then showed how He is still relevant and important today with your examples. Thoughtfully crafted, and uplifting.

Oh Debi, this is so sweet. I can just feel the needs of Sue, Tim and Jill, and their relief when Jesus asks them to follow Him. At this point, they get and receive deliverance. It could be all our stories.
Thanks for sharing your poem and music.
Much love,
Rhonda

That?s okay, Debi. I understand getting behind! Especially one who is so busy serving others on this site and who endures the health issues you do.
Love and hugs,
Rhonda
