Roy, I really love this poem of hope and comfort. Your rhymes and meter are excellent and you present your case in four smart stanzas. I like a quick read with a good message and you do that well.

Roy, thanks for writing this for Sandra in her time of grief. We have been friends since 2011. FS is a big family and there certainly is a lot of love to share. God has him in his keeping, Sandra has him in her heart. K xx

This is the sixth poem of condolence which I have read, supporting Sandra in her loss. Every one is different (mine too - not posted) and every one is heartfelt, genuine and compassionate.
Iambic tetrameter, monorhyme quatrain to begin and rhyming couplets thereafter. Very assured use of language and verse.
Your notes are particularly helpful, Roy, as they show the empathy you have after losing your own dear brother. That makes it harder to write, so this poem is also sacrificial.
Thank you for honoring Ian's memory and giving God's assurance to Sandra.

Nice easy stanzas with perfect.metre and good,
strong rhymes.
I love the last line the best.

This is a very comforting poem for the bereaved, Roy. It has been a year now on the 16th, since I lost Mark and then Rhonda on December 20. That time just went by so quickly. The pain is there, but I know they are with the rest of our family. This will surely comfort Sandra. Well done. Nancy:)
