I'm still relatively young, a student really but, I feel a sense of relation to this beautifully written poem. Every single word in its own line holds such a deep meaning and leaves one to think after each and every one! And I've heard my grandma talk about me (her grandkid) so often. It's a part of me. Hearing that you enjoyed writing this poem, I can only say that I really enjoyed reading it. Expressing that emotion, that thought, that feeling through poetry, your poetry holds such a flow. As a young man, the thought of having someone who looked like me and possibly acted somewhat like me, never, ever crossed my mind. Then I had a son who looked much more like my wife than he did me, had much more in common with my father inlaw than he ever did with me, I thought, but people kept coming up to me and asking if I had a son named Kevin, I would always answer yes, and they would say that he was my spitting image, my double. Who knew?. I now have a grandson and two great grandsons, wow!
