Well, this poem has a fast moving meter that tells the reasons why you write, in a tongue in cheek way. I think most of us who write are a little shy of public occasions that don't include only family and friends. I write to find out what my true feelings and opinions are.

hahahaha It's good that you realize exactly what your positive and negative qualities are. No good to spend time WASTING TIME, right? hahaha This was a fun one, and I didn't mind the mixed meter at all. This was a unique poem many of us can relate to. Thanks!

This poem is good for the "Why do you write" contest.
Everyone can write. Certainly you can write even though you don't dance or don't sing.
Some like to write poems and some short stories. You can write anything you feel like writing. Every piece of writing is a good one.

I am one hundred percent with you. When you have the power of the pen, you do not need any of the other talents that will lessen as you age. The power of the pen tends to grow and improve as you add the gravitas of age and maturity to the equation. Fellow writer, you are indeed powerful.
