What a lovely review, thank you so very much! I'm delighted you enjoyed reading about the octopus. They were a big surprise to me, as well. So many interesting things about this character. Thank you hugely for the six stars, too, that was so nice of you. Have a lovely day! :)) Sandra xx

I did not know that they had teeth on their tongue, that is mildly scary! I have never been the biggest fan of them, but I do find them nice to look at, especially the awesome colored ones. I hope Eric likes them!

Totally amazing, Sandra. This was an excellent choice for the letter 'O'. I learned so much about the octopus and it was all interesting. This was very well done. Thank you Graham for your drawing. Blessings, mental hugs and smiles.

This is a very interesting creature. The octopus is a rather ungainly creature but does taste delicious roasted and smothered in a chili sauce. It is great in stir-fries and soups too.

I will let you all know what Eric thinks of his ABC book, and when it goes on Amazon, if anyone wants to get a copy. It's going to be a surprise for his Birthday in November. Thank you so much for another fabulous review, Amanda, and all the golden stars. You're so kind. :)) Sandra xxx

Very well written, no mistakes i can note. Excellent lay out and another fine piece for the book. Does he get to read these as you write them or is it to be a surprise?

No, he doesn't know about this one, not yet. I'm thinking of his Birthday present in November, or, if it's not ready by then, perhaps a Christmas present. I'm glad you enjoyed reading it, Barb, thank you so much. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Well, I'll never have to worry about the poison from an octopus. I'll never get that close. You did a great job describing this amazing creature, Sandra. Your poem is fun for all and your facts are well-researched. The pictures are amazing and placed in the precise places in the text. Thanks for the video too. [is it ok to say 'octopuses' rather than 'octopi' ? Just askin'].
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Hi Jan, thank you for another lovely review. Yes, octopuses is the plural way, but I have to admit, when I read what you'd put, I went and had a look to be on the safe side, and this is what I found out....
Grammatically speaking, the plural for octopus is octopuses. As the Merriam-Webster dictionary points out, people use three different terms, however: octopi, octopuses, and octopodes. ... But octopus is derived from Greek, so the proper pluralisation in this case would be ?odes? if it was ever used.
I've never heard of them called octopodes! It's really interesting where names come from, I think most are Greek or Latin. There we are, we've both learnt something new! Lol. Thank you, Jan, it's always lovely to read your reviews. Sending you a hug, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Octopus! That sea animal can do much more than I suspected! I enjoyed the video. As you said earlier in the text, their favorite food is crab, and I saw how this octopus moved overland rather fast to go and find one! And I never knew they had such sharp "teeth" to crack them open. Amazing!
Again, a pleasure to read your work in this series.

They are fast, I don't think I'd like to come up against one, not now I know they have that spiteful beak! Thank you so much, Marjon, for another of your lovely reviews. I'm delighted you enjoyed it. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Wow, I'm learning so many fun facts from this book. It's better than watching the Animal Planet. I have heard how intelligent the Octopus is, which is amazing, makes you wonder about man's rule over the animal kingdom. This was a well written chapter, that was a really fun read. Your Grandson is so lucky, Sandra,

I learned so many things here I don't know where to begin. I think what I found the most fascinating is how they are a master of disguise and the way they shoot a blue ink to get away. I guess they'd have to be, not being extremely high on the food chain. It's neat how they decorate their home. They sure aren't the prettiest creatures in the sea. A face only a mother could love for sure. This is very well-written, interesting, full of fun facts. I look forward to reading more.
