Of course the the original scripture in Isaiah says the wolf lies down with the lamb, the leopard with the goat, and the lion with two other creatures, but the principle is the same, and a child leads them all. But a beautifully written odds and evens written for this concert. A well scribed and structured poem. Well done, good luck, blessings, Roy

I think this is a good entry for the "Even the Odds Lion and Lamb writing prompt.
This well written verse tells of the coming of spring and a calming breeze.
Well done and I wish you good luck with the contest.

Sharon, thank you!

This is wonderful! The reading flow seems a bit choppy but I love all of the oldtime references including the lion and the lamb picture, the "Ides of March" reference and its descriptive and vibrant choice of words.
I love your use of analogy with spring coming in like an animal and "prancing".
My favorite part is
"the gales of March
abuser, intruder
of the stillness bespoke of Spring
prancing forward from under winter's clutch"
Well Done!

Gwen thank you, the choppiness comes from the syllabic restrictions per stanza,
