What a beautiful poem in memory of your mother. Did you take that picture yourself? A single pink rose evokes the memory of my mother and they just pop up every now and then. I'm glad to know you have your special flower.

It's all here really isn't it ? that moment when precious memories emerge as if from nowhere to stop us in our tracks - so effectively portrayed here in this Nonet

Dear Diane, this is a beautiful homage to your mother, may she rest in eternal peace. You evoke her memory through sunlight, colour, scent. It's as though her spirit dances in the hallway.
The sixth star is given because you have accomplished this feat in nonet form, even adjusting the syllables so that it ends with the emotional reference to your falling tears.
Artwork and title blend to enhance your write. Stunning.
Good luck in the contest.
Blessings Julia

Diane,
This is a simple but heartwarming lament to a lost loved one, mother maybe. The flowers are a memory and a metaphor.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing
Have a great week

A beautifully scribed nonet, with that carefully crafted piece that only the most skilled of wordsmiths can do. My mum was born in 1921 and died in 2010. But sorry for your loss dear girl, well done, blessings, Roy

This is a beautifully touching and emotional Nonet tribute to your dear mother. It is hard to see things that remind us of a loved one gone. Even when you think grief has somewhat subsided, just one little thing can bring tears flooding back! Appreciate this! xoxo

I love Nonets, one of the few poetic forms I actually understand. Lovely work with this one, so descriptive. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

So beautifully written. I lost my mom in 2013. Each line is so precious and I enjoyed this verse. Her essence at the door speaks a volume. Have a wonderful week.
