Hi, Doug. Honest I really thought I "got" this and then I came to this stanza and I became lost. "Excuse me, it was by your car"
I went on, then read the whole thing again. I'm embarrassed to say I still did not get "it"
Please explain if you care to, my friend. Thanks and Bless you. Bob

Victor, Cleopatra wasn't the happy, carefree, chick you seem to think she was, so maybe she's not the best choice for fantasizing about while your husband is snoring. Cleo died at 38, a suicide. Maybe you should try Madonna. (She's still alive, and likely having fun right now.) ;)

No Madonna after the sex freak from the Chicago Bulls.
Cleopatra seduced two Roman Emporers. Amazing.

I loved the dream like quality of this, the abstractness in the language that painted this picture of dreaming. I also loved the rhythm, almost like breathing, and the images of seduction and love, that waft through the mind as we slip into sleep. "a veiled woman' really captures that image of mystery and desire, of anticipation. Stumbling, mumbling upon a star. We see life just happening. unfolding into wonderful, brilliant moments of experience. Great poem in concept and execution, shows great imagination in its form and style. estory

Hello victortouche:)
I enjoy how your poem goes off at a tangent, down a little road to the neighbours' house... A delicious daydream to savour whilst hubby snores away at the side of her, fantasies of seducing her neighbour to spice up her mundane life. Is it a daydream or a scheme though?
I like the style of your poem. Nice touches of all things pleasing (rhyme, alliteration & imagery!)
Thank you for entertaining me a while :)
Best wishes, Debra :)

This is quite a bit of roaming, quite a bit of roaming indeed. The idle mind can come up with unbelievable thinks and go to places that perhaps it ought not to go. I like this well thought out and well written poem Victor. Well done.

When for me life get boring
I find I fall asleep
and they say that
I start snoring.
But I want you to know
I never ever snore
I just tend to vibrate a bit.
My mind too sometimes will wander from subject to subject, but I'll not admit to snoring.

A bored mind does roam and when you are laying beside someone who is snoring and keeping you awake, it is understandable, even encouraged. Otherwise, his life could be in danger. (I guess you realize, I can relate to this thought process)
A fun and very creative piece.
well done.
Blessings

Hi Victor,
Interesting write here, my friend.
I suppose someone's snoring could drive someone to distraction. LOL
Great image you've chosen to display here, as it complements your verse well.
Nothing here for me to suggest you consider improving upon.
Thanks for sharing.
