Sometimes I wish I was three but most of the time I'm glad I'm not three. However, kids have their thoughts right. No one is different because color or gender, as long as you're kind to them they're kind back. They simplify everything while we just overthink everything. How much better would the world be if we all sat and colored or swing on swings for a half hour a day? It's just a stress relief. They might have the right idea. Who would have thought three year olds would have the answers to a better life and world.

I enjoyed your love poem contest entry, rhonnie. I like the rhymes, the picture is great, and the message is clear. Love of God is so important. Loving oneself is important if one is to love others. Good job and best wishes. Jan

Picture is cute as a button and she looked like she is having a ball being three. God work up for this poem and many happy birthdays yet to come. Have a good one.

How cute is this?! I love that you somehow take a simple birthday and show it through the eyes of a three year old, and we get how that toddler feels! The picture works perfect with the story!
Great work!

My niece turned four this year, she left three, but three years old was the most fun for her. She learned how to ride a bike, she went to Jamaica for the second time. What a blessing! They say third time is the charm :) being three is the third time. I hope you understand Haha. - Anntonette

I distinctly remember being three and looking in the mirror like this. The feelings that I recall are very much like you wrote in your poem, thank you for the memories.

What a wonderful age! Thanks for sharing your work with us. I have no additions or subtractions. My favorite ages are 3-5. I used to be a preschool teacher and then a director in the 1980's then graduated to being a Special Ed. teacher. Never lost my love for those preschoolers though. Such a fun age! No additions or subtractions.

There is nothing purer than a toddlers love.Enjoy it while it lasts, time is fleeting. Once you venture into the world and add other people into the mix, the love goes out the window and other emotions enter into it such as anxiety nervousness, dislike and hate.

Oh this so reminds me of the children I teach . They are adorable and truly believe...no wonder Jesus placed a little child before the disciples and said....such is the kingdom of heaven...become like this little child
God bless

HELLO TEACHER: Thank you for viewing and responding to my poem. Teachers and children's writers have something in common. We, "SHOW," our children the right way. "Put it in them when they are young...and when they are older they will not part from it." My words for this is, "Nip it at the bud." Our kids are adorable...I agree with you Jenny. Helping our God lead our kids upon the right path...are we having fun yet, Jenny? I'm loving it. God bless you my dear teacher friend, Cordially: rhonnie69.
