Excellent artistic contrast with the sun and moon both well represented-haha. Very funny well penned little slice of humor and I like the handsome dude in the picture you chose also LOL.

That ol' chap in the picture is me, after a hard night. Seriously, I don't drink anything stronger than coffee or tea. Thank you so much, Frogbook, for taking time to read my poem. It's hard for even me to imagine how I started out writing about the sun and the moon, and ended up sidetracked on moonshine. LOL! Your kind words and generous review are greatly appreciated. :-)

Lovely picture.
Your poem is written very well - and when we think about nature, we
do not normally think life-giving sun energy or emotional energy that the moon gives us. I really enjoyed it. Well done and good luck for the contest.

Dear Poet,
Yippee-aye-ay. What a gloriously whimsical twist you have given the subject in the minimum of words. A sentiment worthy of remembrance.

LoL awesome 5/7/5 it's so funny and clever. Good job with the syllable count. The presentation is comical and appropriate for the poem. You mentioned sunshine and moonlight, two birds for the price of one. :)

Comment from Gloria ....
A very clever response to the prompt author. A day without a drink is like a day without sunshine, but not when you've got moonshine!
Love the humour and intelligence in this write and I wish you all the best in the contest.

I am not crazy about the 5-7-5 kind of poetry, but I must say you nailed it cleverly, After my double take on the requirement of being about nature, I couldn't resist the Six. Thanks for the smile.
