Well written poem that depicts the muse is at it again when you try to sleep.
Mother Nature may be the inspiration but it's that playful little muse that prevents sleeping in the wee dark hours because that is when it always wants to create.
And, if you do not get up and write down whatever that little muse wants you to, in most cases, I would say it disappears to never to rear its head again.
I know many people who that is the exact case.

The message I get from this poem is that inspiration to write comes from all of the things around us. Your muse is your inspiration and it doesn't take much to stimulate your imagination and get you to react to what is around you no matter what time of the day or night that may be.

This is such a perfect poem on this subject that I won't bother to try. You make your muse sound as dependable as daylight, while mine seems to be more flighty than the bats of night. Yours wins.
