Your poem sounded autobiographical until I scrolled down to the picture at the end. Thank you for your tribute to Prince--what a loss at such a young age! Your references to the "guitar" and "purple" are perfect. Yes, "play princely forever"! Cheers- Joan

Hi Michael,

You have written a very nice poem that I really enjoyed reading. You have always been great at writing poetry although some of the times I don't understand them. That's what happens when an old lady gets older. On the 29th of this month I'll turn 79 years old. I never knew I'd be around that long. LOL

It was nice to hear the song for once. Sometimes I can't. Thanks for sharing this with us.

HI Michael, can't believe he is dead...so very young(57)....some of my favorite songs were...When Doves Cry...Purple Rain...and Kiss....he had a rough start in life...but he fought his way to fame...he was one of my favs and will always be...you nailed it with...Prince Of Wisdom...he could sing...entertain like no other...and he could play a guitar ...boy could he ever play a guitar...sill can't believe it...sigh...love your poem sweetie...and one of my favorite songs...Love you Linda xxoo

I've written before for his songs...just could never find one he allowed to be shown. It was pouring rain during this performance...the promoters where worried sick...went to him and said with wide eye'd fear of losing millions...its raining. and he said ..yes I know...they said what should we do...and he said...can you make it harder...ahhaha...what a guy. alright Dear...love you too. michael
