I THINK I get 'rare', as in not medium or well done steak, and I had to look up, 'cadaver', which is a nuisance when you're lazy like me.

I don't 'see' much imagery here, but you certainly have captured the horror 'spirit' (excuse the pun).

This 5-7-5, Putrid Cadaver, uses a fairly gross graphic to support the humorous poem that uses alliterative description and a play on words to create a great example of the form in the horror mode.

This 5-7-5 poem starts off well, but
I think the last line is weak. There
should be an Aha moment in the last
line, not so in this one.

Hello Erica, you are confusing 5/7/5 poem with a haiku. In a 5/7/5 poem the only rule is the syllable count, there is no limit of what you can do with it. You may check the rules of the contest. Thank you for the review.
