The Woman Of Discontent

A weird poem I wrote inspired by Yasue's Surreal artwork.

This is a bit unusual, but it is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read. Good luck in your contest.

She sure does look very sad indeed, sort of just floating through life, a great little poem, well written and a pleasure to read.....

Wonderful piece! Not weird for me. Love the metaphors used in this poem. The artwork is great too. I really enjoyed it.

I love that last line, 'the eternal energies of the imagination,' truly poetic. I'm with you on the picture... it looks a little crazy and could be getting a view of a crazy world... perhaps that explains why it looks so crazy! Giddy

'The Woman Of Discontent.' Your poem is one of many having used this art form, and did something with it. This amazes me having watched it now for quite a while, but well done.

I am happy to see a different sort of look at this poor woman we have been staring at for so long. I thought this was a good writing for the visual provided. It makes us look a little further than the usual. I enjoyed.

You described that portrait perfectly, I saw before and I
was intrigued by why is that face so familiar, one cannot
read any expressions except it an original painting.
I used for my poems. T

Certainly are right about it being surreal Justin. But, I like it.

For it is a world created by

The eternal energies of the imagination.
