A fabulous and wonderful poem. I can feel your happiness I know you are busy. You don't review many of my poems. I promote them very well. So you must be busy. Who would turn down a treat of someone painting them a beautiful picture and them paying them to review it. Not bad I think. LOL Thanks for the awesome write.

thx so much my dear - and yes, I AM crazy busy at the moment in the B&B and have very little time to review. Please don't take it personally - I do the best I can. How's your neck feeling?
    big hugs (but gently)

I can think of so many artists trying t sing this one if it were lyrics.
It is smart and sassy.
Reads well and makes sense.
Many will relate and have that aha moment.
Well dene.

I like this: I thought it was very contemporary, I'd like the way you explain the situation that you we find yourself in today. Nobody is paying attention to anything but themselves seems like, I honestly think the World coming to and I think we're about to destroy one another. Very sad and unfortunate until next time is visionary Alexander PS if there's a next time make all your days
keep writing

When one is in his own way to his destination per passion and fulfilling needs, he would behave so, he will have his own song at his own style and speed, voice and space, nice feeling of passion highlighted, simply stated, I liked. 18/104

Lovely to be able to dance to the simple things in life, the world has gone crazy, too much of everything, conversations are slowly dying, very well written....

You have penned a mighty truth for the day. I am so tired of the folks who can't come unplugged and, like you, I want them to look me in the eye. I have had to declare the B & B breakfast table a cell free zone on more than one occasion when a guest - not always young - jumps on a cell and starts airing their personal business in front of the couple they just met from Peoria. Then there are the laptop junkies who plop it in the middle of the silver and crystal and hunker down for the duration of the breakfast - ignoring the other guests at the table and putting a decided damper on the conversation. What has happened to people? I envy you your view of the free-spirit and hope one skips down my street. Beautifully done, as usual, Sharyn. Your eye for the world remains clear and your poetic voice smooth as silk, even when ranting. Loved this poem. - Wendy

bless you for your lovely six on this one Wendy! OMG I can't IMAGINE people daring to do that at your breakfast table! I'd break a crystal glass and run them thru the heart! :)S

Wow! Now THIS is a poem for today. Beautifully conceived and written. I love everything about it. There is still a child somewhere (faraway in Hawaii) not corrupted by the thumb-typing screen-blinded world. Give her a year, tops! But treasure that memory. :)

Hi Sharyn,
you know I went to the movies the other day with my beautiful wife,Jade and not only did I have to tell some individuals to turn there lights off,oh sorry I mean their phones off. I walk out after a watched as a cute young couple went straight for their phones ignoring each other as they walked out to SMS on their phones, drones you say? As you know I live on Iluka bay. I don't know how many people I see walking past with their ear-plugs in while the world is happening around them, pods of dolphin's, birds of all description, osprey's coming down into the water, going away with a big fish and what do they see or hear? What ever is playing in their ear. So I say you got it right and spit it out, speak what irks you, you know I'll agree.
Kindest thoughts,
James xx

I can't give this great work the rating it deserves, so you will have to accept a virtual ******

Your well written verse takes us into the world of the younger generation, and their seemingly unending need for deafening music, texting, or talking on the latest blackberry or whatever.

I loved to read that the young woman could enjoy her own company, and hear the music within.

Thanks for sharing.

Ann
