I don't know if it is autobiographical, but you wrote so well about losing love and then finding it again and being able to live again. Great free verse with a great picture to complement it. Best wishes for the contest.

What a wonderful poem. The voice is so strong - starting off scared to trust, then meeting her love, took the leap of faith and lived again. What a great love poem. So real and honest. Thanks for sharing.

This poem has a beautiful simplistic style of writing. You have perfectly expressed the initial loss and rejection, then taking a chance and opening up once again to new love. Beautiful.

So nicely said (written). It shows why not to let your heart grow cold, unable to love again. Too many of us close up once we are hurt.
