What a great piece of writing. If there were more stars to give you would get them.
You have indeed captured a slice of life that all of us go through. One day we wake up and all we have are memories. The last stanza of your poem sums it all up, "So take the time, with a smile of frown, to live in the day, for tomorrows uncertain and yesterday's gone, and a memory is only as good as the things you have done."
So get out there for today, don't keep putting it off.

I get this feeling of depression when I read this. Did your mother suffer a great loss? It's very moving and touching and my heart goes out to her. You tackled this very delicately. Great job!

What a stunning poem. I love the sentiment. We should all get on with living our lives instead of living in the past but we should also learn from the past too. It is truly thought-provoking. great stuff.
