How sweet it is for the child to want to help out with the household budget! Very well written with a nice surprise ending. Enjoyed reading along.

It's funny, but also very poignant. For what it purports to be, this is an excellent short work. It is also so good because I can imagine a child doing just this. Nice job. Ray.

I read this twice before I understood. God doesn't need to tooth fairy to help the family. If Tommy wants the tooth fairy instead of God, the tooth fairy would be happy to take his two front teeth. God obliges.
Very creative story.

You and I realize that God's work is divine and he needs no help, but the mind of a small boy wonders if God can ask the tooth fairy for help..Thanks for the kind review. smiles to you....

"Out of the mouth of babes", indeed! LOL!! I loved it. You did a great job of capturing the innocence of youth and the desire of children to be of help. Thanks for sharing a very important moment!

How lovely that this small child would want to help out with his struggling family's finances - there is great warmth to the humor in his prayer. This is a wonderfully inspiring story with a nice chuckle to keep it from being maudlin :-) Brooke

Brooke,
I am glad you enjoyed the story. I wasn't sure whether it had enough humor for the contest but it's where my heart went this morning. Smiles to you....

Not all humor has to be broad, fall on the floor guffawing kind of humor.

Thanks...that's what I thought too, but I needed to hear it from someone else ... especially you! I always appreciate your comments.

I love your piece of writing. Simple and heart warming with a lovely touch of humour. Children in their innocence have such purity of heart and I really do believe God answers their prayers. I bet God smiled and probably gave the tooth fairy a special call:)
