Hi Carol,
I read your haiku, then gave my feedback, and my computer was annoyed so locked up and deleted it. Hmph, go figure, can't blame it...

I mentioned that the picture was very bold and bright, and for me overwhelmed the poem itself. (The picture was not my favorite)

Maybe center the poem?

I liked the intent of the poem, family and the joy in it. I did wish every line didn't start with 'my', though I don't know how that could have been achieved to keep the intent, and the syllable counts. This heart... as famly... my life... ?

But with poems, I could be telling a spider that the web shouldn't be so sticky.

Picture wasn't exactly what I would chose either, but I couldn't find anything else that fit either.

and I agree the MY My My bothered me too but I didn't know where to go with it. I think I need to leave the poetry to the experts and go back to my writing. Thanks for reading and for your suggestions. We were on the same track but I got side railed without knowing what I should do. Carol
