A wonderful happy poem for the contest. So many of us walk around with perpetual frowns- -for unknown reasons. This speaks of those wonderful things which we have been gifted and are essentially free if we just take the time to notice. There is so much sadness in the world we must look to those free things in life which give us comfort and peace - -and just maybe that smile will overflow and keep spilling over.
Thank you. No nits here- -just a beautiful face with a beautiful smile to go with this well written post.

I loved it. As a mother of a 16 year old male, I laughed at your line
Here we are in God's world,
A frown upon your face.
What happened to your smile?
It seems to be misplaced
We often go to task over the things mothers of teenage males always go to task over. Like dirty rooms, interesting things in the laundry. He's otherwise a really good kid. When I give him that mother frown, he takes his fingers and tries to turn my frown into a smile saying. "Turn that frown upside down."

This a lovely poem about things we can be happy about. It sounds like a wonderful time to me! Being grateful is something I try to remember to do. (If you're interested, you might like the quote on my profile page about gratitude.)
You did a great job on the ryhming scheme, which is always difficult for me.
Great job!
Take care,
Susan
