The third coldest state? Are the Dakotas the other two? I've heard Minnesota is "the nation's ice box" so I just assumed it held that horrible record for cold.
Yuk! Give me Florida, I've done my time in the North!
I love your fun and funny rhyme, and saw a different side of you with that last line. Naughty girl:-)
Stay warm this weekend, Sis.

Hey babe, yes, Alaska and North Dakota are ahead of us, but that is as a whole. Northern MN is just as cold as ND.
Hey I am an optimistic Christian but I am not a prude. LOL. But seriously I felt a little bit funny about posting this about having fun with four letter words and especially the last line. But I had been having a hard time lately with my eyes, and felt a little bit better yesterday and truly needed some fun.
So that's my story and I am sticking to it. Hahaha! Thanks for having some fun with me.
I wanted to tell you that yesterday I went back on your chapters as an attempt to catch up and was in the middle of reading the first one I missed.
I think it was the one after Norman, and my reader started acting funny.
So I have to do an update and listen to a video or something like that google told me. For long reads I can no longer do as it uses up my slowly getting shorter allotted screen time. But for the important people in my life, I need to do keep up with their posts. You are so good to me, after all.
Thanks so much my dear bd twin. Lotsa love and hugs. Debi

I love this and yes I did chuckle away to myself.
We don't really get snow where I live. The sea air is too wet so if it's cold we normally just get slushy rain that quickly melts in the salty air.

Thanks, Tim, for the awesome review. I was just having a little fun with everyone, as I really don't hate everything in Winter so bad. I was just in the mood to be a bit goofy. So thanks for having a laugh with me. Love, Debi

We don't really get the cold temperatures in Australia in general, except in the mountains no snow either, I grew up in England, but we left when I was young, and spent 6 weeks in New York at Christmas, so no, we are fortunate to a enjoy temperate climate, well done, blessings Roy

The older I get, the less tolerable winter, snow, ice, and all of the accompanying shoveling, slipping, driving on ice, etc. gets to me. I can't imagine the temps you put up with. I wish we could have a white Christmas eve through New Year and then get on with the Spring!
I feel you. Debi.
Your last line was adorable!

Hey K, you are getting hit right now pretty bad aren't you? We have been seeing reports of the north east states getting lots of snow. We are mostly cold right now. It is almost enough to have my son put his 10,000 lb fish house pulled by his 10,000 lb truck onto the lake. It makes me a little nervous but they won't do it without 17 inches of ice. So I am glad about that. We do have the huntingest and fishingest people in our family, don't we?
(I know neither of those are really words) LOL...

Minus 70 degrees?! No thank you! You hardy souls can have that all. But I know it gives you a good sense of humor and extra strong hearts and longs! Thanks for the fun poem!

And truthfully after spending hours in prayer the night before for myself and everyone you named in your poem and all my regulars, like you, Jay, Grace and your other daughter's family, I felt almost giddy and light and so much better about everything. Thanks again for the poem of prayers and for the awesome talk. What would I do without you? God really does me, cause he gave me you. Thanks again. Love, Debi

💖💖💖Indeed God really loves us because He gave us fellowship with each other. Thanks so much for your prayers! 🙏

I hear you sis. Remember, I spent 20 months in Grand Forks North Dakota. Surrounded by flat, flat land, nothing blocking the fierce wind and drifting snow. I made avow when I left, that I would never venture in that direction ever again, That vow was made in 1964, it is a vow I have kept to this very day and time.

Yes, I do remember that, my dear brother. At least you had a way out. Some of us who were born here and married here have a disadvantage. LOL.
However, Nomi, you were smart. And then theres men like Glen who are so thankful for the cold, not the snow. He loves his ice fishing. And I love that he loves it. He works hard on keeping things up on our 100 acre cropland farm all year, so winters are his baking cookies and fishing time. Haha.
Thanks for the great review and it's good to know you were in Minnesota at one time even if it was when you were dating that young girl that really just wanted to trap you into marriage. Do I have a memory or what?? LOL.
Lotsa love to my BBBBB. Debi

Yuppers! I'm in agreement. I had to scrape my windshield the past three mornings before I headed to work. And it sucked!
My dear, sweet, sis. Please easily anytime you want because you make us laugh with your wit.
Now go make a cup of hot coffee and pour me a cup while you're at it.
Stay warm,
John

Hey you, thanks dear bro and as long as I have your permission to be funny, I will say you are almost the same age as me. Hahaha. Then we are just twins. No more big sis, right?? LOL
Thanks for the fun review, sweetie and for the awesome six stars my almost twin brother. Haha. It's fun having another brother that I think the world of. Hey I saw that James came to visit you again today. He was here too. He just wasn't sure what to think of weather like this.
Boy, you guys are really getting hit with it, aren't you? Take care, stay warm and love you lots!! Your sis, Debi

My, you have gone risqué with your four-letter words. This is really cute. I find myself with the same complaints, and I used to love winter. The picture gives a lovely excuse to find things wrong with winter.

Oh, I know Carol. Do you think I crossed the line at all. I just felt like being really silly today. I have been down a lot lately and while looking for my bright side I came up with this. I just needed to be silly. But I hope people don't think negative of me. Lol, I do know it is not my norm. But thanks for the sweet and fun review and comments. You are so much fun, my dear friend. Love, Debi

Some people won't even take the last line the way I did, but I thought it was very cute.

Yeah, for Debi! I was to jump off a bridge if I heard one more person tell me how beautiful snow is. The only time snow is pretty is when you sitting in a rocking chair in front of the fireplace drinking hot cocoa, and don't have anywhere to be. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Well don't you know, Ric, that is why I wrote this little off colored rhyme because I couldn't stand the thought of you jumping. Good friends are hard to come by.
So, thanks for the fun review and I couldn't agree more about the cold and snow. It's not quite as much as I ranted about it my poem, but If it weren't for the fact that my husband loves his ice fishing and I'd miss my grandkids so much, I'd be a snow bird.
So thanks again, my dear friend. Love, Debi
Btw, I voted for you in the story of the month contest.

Delightful rant Debi. I used to live in northwest Pennsylvania with lake effect snow so I agree, SNOW is a 4 letter word. And then there is the fact that I now live in NC but my son loved snow so much he moved to Alaska. Go figure.
This was a fun read Debi.
Blessings

Awe, Janet, that is so sweet of you. Thank you so much for the awesome and fun review and comments. Also, I thank you for the generous six stars. Yes, if you were on the north east coast right now you wouldn't be happy.
They are getting hit bad. We are mostly about ten below and my husband is thrilled because it is making the lakes almost ready to take his fish house out on. Thanks again, sweetie. You are so darn special, my friend.
Love you lots. Debi
