Hi, Debbie
This is absolutely beautiful, so rich and so caring about the person(s) that you're writing about
Somebody in pain really needs God. That person can pray to lessen the pain and it may or may not lessen, but at least somebody heard them.
I used to deal with constant pain all the time and then I had back surgery and it went away. I still have constant pain in my neck, but it doesn't get so bad that it interferes.with my daily life except when I have to sit for a long time, then my neck gets tremendous pain.
I stopped taking the pain pills. I have just a few left, but when I run out, I won't have anymore. I take one about every six months.
I thought your poem spoke to me in a way
It looks to me like you care about meter because your meter is excellent. However, I did find one line that my tongue tripped over.
It just doesn't seem to be, in iambic pentameter like the rest of your lines
I think it's because both more and joy are harsh. Sounds are hard syllables. Whatever you call them. Anytime you have two of those in a row kind of breaks the meter.
"That you'd have more joy to convey"
I enjoyed reading your poem
Good job. Thank you for sharing.

I know what you mean Pam, I stumbled a little on that one too, but it is so important to get that message out there. I will work with it. Please consider yourself prayed for my dear. That verse I wrote for anyone like me who suffers in pain. I have lupus, almost every joint replaced, two major spine surgeries, now can barely walk due to pain. So I hear you, my dear.
Thanks for your very kind review and comments. Love, Debi

I'm scheduled to have surgery on August 22 for my back approval by my pulmonologist.
It's very very bad it's pressing on the spinal canal and narrowing it. But I don't have pain because my back is partially paralyzed so is it good that my back is partially paralyzed? I think it's better than having all that pain anyway I wish you the best and I hope some of your pain lessens too.

Pam, I will continue to pray for success for your surgery and beyond. You are precious and I wish you all the best too. Hugs!

Hugs!! I hope they can find something to do for your pain also

Beautiful poem and I thank you for your prayers because I fit into at least a couple of those verses. The world would be a better place if we all said prayers like that during our day. And they wouldn't even have to rhyme. :-) Thanks for sharing.
