Sounds like you've had quite a rough go of it lately, Jesse. Sorry to hear that. Sounds like you've got a great attitude and doing your best to take care of your needs unassisted. Hope the surgery goes well for you and you don't have to wait too long for it.

Did this come on suddenly, or was it more gradual? I've also got some neck pain that radiates down my arm and into my hand as well, and I'm wondering about surgery for it. - Jim

The injuries to my neck came on suddenly. I would ask my doctor what is the best way to proceed with your neck pain if I were you.

Thank you for sharing this with us. Yes, alone time extra special. I raised four boys, and they are on their own, now. I miss them, but I am happy for time alone. My husband is still around, but often does his own thing. That's good. I do understand what you're saying, and I continually pray for you. Keep us posted on the upcoming surgery.

I am glad you don't suffer from empty house syndrome. Four children and one husband are enough to keep you busy for a lifetime. Time alone is special whether you have a full house or you live alone like I do. I will keep you posted.

My quest is independence from caregivers. I hope, after my surgery to not need them anymore. Thanks for your positive feedback.
