As always, your words are so well chosen, they have the opportunity to bring comfort to the one for whom you wrote them, as well as anyone who is grieving the loss of a sibling.

This was just beautiful, Roy. I have not known this kind of grief yet as both my brothers are still alive. My parents are gone, naturally, but that's expected and long ago. To lose a sibling before their time must be very difficult. I'm sorry for your loss as well as Sandra's.
This was a beautifully rendered poem that takes some of the sting out of death and is a wonderful way to think of death. - Jim

That is really kind of everyone to be contributing to a book of poems for your friend. I have found through my dealings with death and dying over the years, it is the actions that count the most. The fact that everyone came together, as a group and not just individuals, to put together this compilation, shows so much love and support, a reminder that she is not alone.

Grief is complicated- but never the same for all of us. But it, like your poem, touches us in ways that are hard to explain. Healing comes at its own pace.
Thank you for writing.

This is a good one, Roy. Many times faith is tested when a loved one dies, but you will be united with that loved one when your time comes. Very nice last stanza.

Simply an amazing poem! I truly enjoyed reading it. What moving words. So much is said in only four stanzas, and so eloquently expressed, too. Each line seems to have been so well-thought out, each word carefully chosen. I particularly loved the ending line. I can feel the comfort this piece seeks to convey.
Blessings,

Roy, I knew you would know what to say! My emotions ran high as I read this beautiful peace. My heart breaks for her and I don't even know this fine lady. But I can feel the love that everyone exudes through word and prayer.
Thank you for sharing.
God bless,
Steve

Beautiful work.
No SPAG critique to offer.
I am on the better side of severe PTSD. This poem rings heavy because I lost a friend I served with to suicide.
It is hard being lost in the dark... I learned to appreciate my ability to be in the light.
Take care and good luck.
Wonderful work, thank you for sharing.

Beautifully rendered, Roy.
I appreciate your message as I know Sandra will.
I've not lost any siblings, but I surely have lost loved ones, and in my mind,
"the mem'ries merge," and I take great comfort from that...
Perhaps you might want to capitalize "God" in Stanza 1, Line 4.
Thank you for sharing!

This is beautiful, Roy. I like "For in your loss compassion's sown, within your heart you're not alone."
Indeed, she is not alone, as I've read many of the tributes in her book. I think she knows she has a loving family here at FS. We all wish her the best during this trying time for the entire family.
