This is a funny post for this contest entry. Do like the entire presentation of the hokey-pokey dance performance. Yes, you did turn it around! Cookies are my addiction -- with or without milk. They never seem to be hidden effectively from me LOL

Gosh, that sure brings back memories! I remember back when I could actually dance, it was one of the those that always played. Of course, I would get confused and be out of step but it was a lot of fun. I can't say I was addicted to it.

Lol, actually Mary, I really don't know anyone who is addicted either, but the last line wouldn't be funny if my poem didn't pretend that someone was.

Haha, but this contest entry could be viewed at least 2 ways,
Debi. Of course, most all kids know the Hokey Pokey. Adults
do, too. But on another level, this could be hokey such as not
so good, and one could be addicted to that aspect. Think of all
the rehab places hoping to turn those individuals around. I liked
the play on words and the double meaning at least as I saw it. Your
syllable count was correct per line. The picture was perfect.

This could be one of the most harmless addictions an individual could have developed.
As long as they could get someone one else involved & spend some time with their family. This could be fun to continue with, but I'll stop here. This is a clever metaphor.

Ha, Ha! Debi this is hysterical! My kinder kids can definitely have too much of a good thing believe me!! It is not so much fun the umpteenth time around. You have no idea after a day of repeat classes what repetition can do to a good song!
