Debi, I love this all the way through. Your daughter sounds wonderful, and your love is evident in every line. (One suggestion--You lay in your bed -no laid--English teacher speak) I was going to message you to tell you I hope you get over Covid right away with NO problems and that your recovery from surgery will be miraculous. Love you! Verna

Thank you so much my sweet Verna, you just get lovelier with every kind word you speak. And I also completely appreciate your feedback. I really didn't feel well enough to edit, but surprised I had that mistake of 'laid' in there. That means the world to me. Yes, Mc Kenzie is her real name and she is my eldest grandchild. She is my special girl, maybe because she was w me everyday growing as her mom had to work out. Thank you also my dear friend for your prayers. So appreciated!

Thank you for such lovely words for my poem for Kenzie. She is so special but so are all my grandkids. So it seems that whether we are sharing prayers, contest entry or even about a loved one, everyone is so receptive of them. I love that about our little family here. Thank you again for such sweet words my dear dear friend!

What a heartfelt poem to Kenzie Jo. I loved reading it, Debi.
Each word/line showed the love you have for her. I could see
you and Kenzie Jo enjoying each other's company through the
years. Your limes flowed smoothly with good rhymes and created
great imagery. I agree with you about how fast time flies. You have
so many beautiful memories the both of you made together and
her awesome drawings. I understood how proud you are of her, and
rightly so.
Thanks for sharing a beautiful, uplifting poem, Jan

Sorry to hear you have Covid. Hope you are doing better now. Who has poems in reserve? Debi! This is a very sweet and heartfelt poem about your granddaughter. I hope you have shared this with her. It's a keeper. The visual of your eldest grand babe is beautiful. Her smile reminds me of you. Thanks for sharing and get better.

Thanks so much Sandra. If you read my profile, I talk about how my biggest bucket list item was to make a book for my family. So I spent yrs writing for husband, my kids, their spouses 6 grandkids, my parents, siblings etc w many prayers too. Then I had a 12X12 book made w a their poem and many pics that went w their poem,. They each got two large pages and when I was done, I bought one for everyone. It was over $5000. but even my husband said it was worth it. I wrapped them up as part of their Christmas gifts last yr and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. So that's why I have so many built up. And I thank you with all my heart my sweet friend for your kind words and prayers. Dr is talking about putting me in the hospital but I have had enough of those places for a while. We just have to get my oxygen levels up and my temp down. Once again, so thankful for your friendship and for you.

You are welcome. That sound like wonderful keepsakes for all in your family. They are lucky to have a poet in their midst. I pray your temp. comes down and your breathing gets better.
