This was a lovely poem that really hearkens back to classic love poems. The imagery was great and really showed both your love of the land and the love you have with your partner.

This is a glorious ode not just to your own lovely relationship but also to love itself. One of the things I love about being English is that there's always some green countryside or an ancient castle within an hour's drive. I very much enjoyed your poem :-)

Thank you Mike for your encouraging review. I envy you having those ancient castles within an hour's drive. We have beautiful countrysides but very few castles. (smile) Thank you for your kind words.

Your poem paints a picture both of beautiful and timeless Cornwall and you own enduring love. The themes are nicely intertwined in a well written piece.

Your poem paints a nice picture in the brain. So many of the things that
were beautiful are now nothing but a memory. However, be glad you
have the memories to relive the good parts of your past. Boy, that last statement is deep, isn't it?

Thank you for sharing your wonderful memories of your anniversary trip to England. I've never been to Cornwall, but know it's bucolic beauty would be impressive. May your love continue to grow for many years to come!.

This is so warm and beautifully rendered. I want to pull your words over me like a comforter and snuggle into them ~ remembering not only the newness of love but the rich patina of love well worn. You are both truly blessed!

The land of my birth Janet, in 1996 my brother and I bought an old car in London, there, and circumnavigated England, from Landsend in Cornwall to the Northern most tip of Scotland John O'Groats, it was wonderful, believe it not we travelled 6,000 miles on that island, in 1998 I did it again, but took in Ireland too. this time with my wife and younger child. This is beautifully written my friend, England is beautiful. Well just loved this Janet, blessings Roy

Thank you Roy for your encouraging review and lovely stars. Wow! 6000 miles of travel on that island is quite a feat. England is a beautiful place for sure. Hope we get to go back again one of these day.

Your poem celebrates what you and hubby have in your love
for each other, despite life's ups and downs, both have weathered
those well. . .together. That adds to the strong loving bond
which continues to increase throughout each year. Your words
describe the literal landscape of your travel and the emotional
connection of true love, Janet.
Here's to man more years together, Jan
